I have a vast photography background spanning over two decades but never has my passion for life in pictures been as meaningful as it is now, thanks to my two gorgeous boys. My eyes well up and my heart swells every time I look at photos of my two growing boys as babies. I'm swept back to those squishy faces, blond wispy hair, wrinkly folds and adorably chubby tummies.

Teeny tiny fingers grasping mine. The weight of them lying on my chest, enjoying all the funny little noises they make. And don't get me started on those newborn smells. What I would give to relive those moments again.

The first few months of parenthood can so quickly become a haze with a newborn. Add a toddler into the mix and one day you'll blink and suddenly they are waving goodbye as they walk through the school gates for the first time. This is why it's so important to document those precious early days and beyond.

Whatever parenting stage you are at, take a breather from your busy schedules. Put the phone down. Forget about work and the pile of washing. Book a session and soak in your amazing little family. Your future self and your children will thank you for it β™‘

What’s with the chicken?…

My photography journey started in 1995. Cornwall, England. A time when mobile phones couldn't take photos (I know!) and disposable film cameras were all the rage.

I was just 15 and in my last year of high school, when my eccentric and utterly wonderful stepdad Ed introduced me to two of his greatest passions. The first was the world of photography. We spent hours and hours chatting about different lenses, film grades and light quality. Man Ray, Ansel Adams and Henri Cartier-Bresson became my rock stars. By the time Ed took me to buy my first SLR I was hooked. I couldn't wait to spend my university years between the studio, the streets, and the darkroom.

Ed's other passion was... chickens. I must say however, these were not your regular backyard chooks. Oh no, these were divas. Prima donnas. Starlets. These were bombastic show birds that Ed used to chauffeur up and down the UK for special competitions.

I will always be grateful to Ed who had a huge impact on my life by loving my mum and supporting my passions. My branding and logo are in honour of that gorgeous man.
